As I patiently watch the rose essential oil drop slowly from the bottle. I begin to reflect how the rose is a teacher of patience. When a rose begins to blossom, it opens one petal at a time, teaching us how to open our hearts with trust & confidence. The relationship between roses + humans is a deeply loving & intuitive bond. Rose is a symbol of the planet Venus which is the planet of pleasure, beauty & love. Rose essential oil processes the delicate flower through solvent extraction. Rose essential oil is high in monoterpenols, which is nourishing to the skin & gentle to the nervous system. One drop of this potent medicine goes a long way.
Above is an example of my intuitive process when it comes to blending essential oils & using the gifts of aromatherapy to create the products for the Root & Womb Collective shop. As I sit in ceremony with each product, I consider the physical, emotional & energetic elements that each plant offers. My process honors how the plant physically grows, the chemistry of the plant oil, energetic properties, ancient symbolism & the influence of astrology on the Earthly plane.
